The Greeks showed exemplary innovations and progress in different fields and their efforts not only made a mark for themselves but also for many others who they influenced, the Romans being primary among others. The Romans took inspiration from them and the impact was not only in art but also other realms like literature and philosophy. Adding their own touch to the styles and perspectives, they changed in their own ways the inspirations they took from the Greeks. While the statues that the Romans made were mostly in honor to their rulers, they took the elaborate styles and focus on highlighting qualities in them from the Greeks.
